Smerald Piscine Protective decorative enamel, with satin effect, monocomponent, high technical content, very resistant to the action of UV rays; based on polyurethane polymer mixtures and acrylic modified with Teflon, in aqueous emulsion. Perfect for finishing concrete surfaces intended for permanent contact with water (swimming pools, fountains, ornamental basins, channels, artificial ponds, tanks, etc. ). It is provided in the standard colours Light Blue and White, on request it can be supplied in other colours. Smerald Piscine is a special mixture of polyurethane-acrylate Teflon coated resins, in aqueous emulsion, particularly resistant to light, water, chlorine and the usual sanitising agents. Modified with unalterable high coverage pigments and special additives, effectively protected against UV radiation, assisted by peculiar radical catchers, it is characterised by high adhesion to the support, high elastic performance, excellent coverage capacity with only two coats of application, and absolute absence of toxic solvents of any kind. Specially formulated for painting pools, ornamental basins, channels, fountains, ponds, tanks, and any cement support strongly and permanently in contact with water. The surfaces of application should be clean, free of any soiling, crumbling and non-adhering parts, or non-absorbent, dust, pre-existing paints, etc. Smerald Piscine can be applied by brush, roller or airless (membrane type) with a 1.5 - 2 mm diameter nozzle. It is preferable to wait at least 30 days for the base to mature. Make sure the surface to be treated is dry, mature and free from damp spots. Before proceeding with the application of the paint, it is advisable to wash with a hydro-cleaner to remove dust or loosely adherent residues. As a first coat, the product can be diluted with water at 40/50% in order to uniform and consolidate the base. Leave to dry for 12 hours and then proceed with the application of 2 coats of paint spaced out for at least 12 hours, diluting with water as little as possible. Always apply two coats, spaced at least 12 hours apart, for a consumption of no less than 200 g/m² per coat (about 450 g/m² of total consumption). On large surfaces it is recommended to apply product from the same production batch. Always proceed wet on wet in order to avoid signs of recovery. MAINTENANCE: Maintenance interventions are foreseen, normally every two years, except for special needs. Proceed to detach the old damaged paint, clean the substrate with suitable detergents and remove grease or algae. The damaged areas must be carefully repaired before proceeding with the painting as indicated above. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE: It is recommended to fill the pool at least 15 days after applying the product and to leave the pool full even during the winter or non-use months. The paint is not suitable for use on rubber surfaces, fiberglass swimming pools, concrete with water repellent additives, for particular surfaces it is recommended to carry out a test application on a small area before proceeding with the finish on the entire pool. It is a mix of a high action dehumidifier, ready to use, only mix with water with a NHL natural hydraulic lime base, Botticino, kaolin, silicate and lime aggregates, mineral fibres and specific agents. It is a mix , together with the adequate inert substances, that enables plaster to be created with high breathability, free of cement, resins or solvents and radio-emitting agents, in compliance with bio-architectural parameters. Breathable dehumidifying plaster on the walls (on adding aggregates). Prepare the surface to plaster by removing, if present, the existing plaster, up to a height over approx. 50/100 cm compared to the line of persistent damp. The walls for application should in any case be clean, intact, free of containment, dust, flaking or inconsistent parts, conveniently saturated with water (saturated to dry surfaces). In the presence of saline efflorescence, accurately remove it and give a preventive treatment with a spray application of Sanareg. Then, a subsequent preliminary construction of a rough coat with breathable grip, with the specifically prepared Untersana, or "spraying" (here and there) the same mix as described below. Prepare the plaster by firstly placing in the mixer approx. 2/3 water for the necessary mix, and then respectively adding Sanatrock SA and clean, select sand with the desired granulometry (you are advised to use sand with a maximum diameter of up to 2-3 mm). For packaging in the warehouse, comply with the following use instructions: - kg15 Sanatrock SA - kg 35-40 sand with a max granulomety 2-3 mm. - litres 12-13 of water (the quantity of water can decrease according to the humidity in the sand used). During preparation of the mix, pay attention and add the useful amount of water to obtain an even and creamy mix with the weight/litre of approx 1.3 – 1.5 Kg. This objective is however very easy to reach with minimum attention to the useful mixing time. On the wall, previously make adequate “level stops” (strips are recommended using mortar obtained or wooden boards adequately placed in position and to plumb). Apply the product with a trowel with a total thickness of approx 2-3 cm. Do not carry out any finishing, smoothing or crushing operation with the trowel or the blade of the mortar applied. ROUGH COAT The sprayed rough coat must create a rough, corrugated surface to facilitate the adhesion of the following plaster, which must be applied promptly; within 1 - 2 days from the application of the rough coat. This adhesion spray must be applied with a low thickness (of a few millimetres) using a plastic-fluid consistency, and can be applied with the same Sanatigh product mixed with about 20% water. In case of particularly deteriorated masonry, it is recommended to use a specific Untersana product to make the rough coat. PLASTER The following application of Sanatigh must be made before the complete hardening of the rough coat (within 24-48 hours if the rough coat is made with Sanatigh, and 12-24 hours if made with Untersana). Put about 2/3 of the mixing water into the mixer, and then gradually add Sanatigh and the remaining water, continuing to mix into a homogeneous, lump-free mixture of the desired consistency for trowel or plastering machine application. Indicatively, the necessary mixing water is 16-18% by weight (i.e. 4 - 4.5 litres per 25 kg bag). Application can be performed by manual (trowel, plastering trowel) or mechanical spray methods. In case of application with a plastering machine, in order to allow adequate and homogeneous product mixing, it is recommended to not use machines with a continuous cycle, and to adjust nozzle, air and spray power in order to softly and lightly apply the product without excessive compaction. SKIMMING Levelling of plastered surfaces with Sanastof: green-construction fine, highly breathable mortar, natural hydraulic lime based with special, light, spherical micro-aggregates and high strength microfiber Readymesh PM 060. Protect surfaces from fresh direct exposure to sunlight, from the rain and wind. Cure the prolonged moist hardening. Sanastof Bianco Premixed mineral composition based on natural hydraulic lime NHL 3.5, microsilic with pozzolanic activity, selected aggregates, high tenacity microfibers, light heat-insulating aggregates with low modulus of elasticity. It is used for smoothing and smoothing, both indoors and outdoors. It is perfectly compatible with multiple substrates: lime-based plasters, lime-cement, cement mortars, concretes, porous stone, bricks. Its characteristics make it particularly suitable for green building works and for the restoration of period and monumental buildings. The maximum grain size of the aggregate is 0.9 mm. The calibrated physical-mechanical characteristics guarantee perfect compatibility on different types of substrates, especially on traditional plasters and mortars. The microsilic content with pozzolanic activity makes smoothing and smoothing performed with Sanastof Bianco highly durable, even in aggressive exposure environments. Quick and easy application on various substrates, such as: transpiring smoothing of wall casings; smoothing on modular wood fiber or calcium silicate coats; regularization of plastered surfaces; leveling of concrete surfaces; regularization and smoothing of repairs carried out with cement mortars; application to mainly thin thicknesses (from 1 to 4 mm) with simultaneous leveling of recesses, imperfections etc. In particularly severe operating conditions it is advisable to interpose, between the first and second coat, the alkali-resistant glass fiber mesh Armaglass 160 (the mesh must be partially drowned on the first still fresh coat of Sanastof Bianco). The breathability, combined with the other physico-chemical characteristics of the product, make the smoothing made with Sanastof an ideal support to accommodate any kind of paint and in particular mineral paints based on potassium silicate or slaked lime. Sanastof is the transpiring smoothing, with a low modulus of elasticity, recommended in all our dehumidifying systems made with the products: Sanatigh, Caleosana, Sanawarme, Unisan, Intosana. The application surfaces must be clean, free from dirt, crumbly and incoherent parts, dust, etc. Smooth substrates must be roughened (roughness> = 1mm). In the event that the support, after cleaning and roughening, is still dusty and crumbly, remove the totally incoherent parts dry with a spatula-brush, or assisting the removal operation with hydro-washing, then consolidate the support by impregnation with aqueous emulsion Protech Fix AC applied in two abundant coats, the second coat immediately before applying Sanastof Bianco with the "fresh on fresh" technique (the consumption of Protech Fix AC for this priming operation is between 120 and 250 gr / m2). Adequately wet the substrate with water before application, anticipating and repeating this operation several times in the case of very porous and absorbent substrates or in hot and arid climates.
